Double-leg and single-leg jump test reference values for athletes with and without an ACL injury

Brief summary, from the abstract

This scoping review gathers published reference values for double-leg and single-leg jump and hop tests in athletes who play pivoting sports such as soccer and basketball, covering both healthy players and those recovering from ACL reconstruction.

  • 27 studies were included: 9 reported values for healthy soccer players, 6 for healthy basketball players, and 11 for other healthy pivoting-sport athletes.
  • Limb Symmetry Index (dominant/nondominant) ranged from 97% to 106% in healthy soccer players and from 99% to 120% in healthy basketball players.
  • Only 4 studies provided reference values for pivoting-sport athletes after ACL reconstruction, all measured between 7 and 10 months post-surgery.
  • As a scoping review, this maps and summarizes existing reference data rather than testing an intervention; ACLR data in particular is sparse.
